Delivered through centre-based guided learning, this course focuses on the hydraulic and mechanical aspects of heat pump installation.
Modules Covered:
Preparatory Work: How to complete the necessary site preparation for an ASHP installation.
Hydraulic Circuits: Requirements for connecting heat pumps to hydraulic emitter circuits.
Installation: Physical installation of heat pump units (non-refrigeration units).
Testing & Commissioning: How to test and commission a full system.
Maintenance: Routine service and maintenance of the non-refrigerant circuits.
Assessment is conducted through online theory exams and a practical assessment.

Because ASHP systems integrate directly with a property's water and heating circuits, a valid Water Regulations qualification is a mandatory pre-requisite. If you don't have it yet, you can book our one day Water Regulations course to get started.
This specific qualification focuses on the installation and maintenance of non-refrigerant (hydraulic) circuits. If you wish to handle the F-Gases within the units, you would also need to complete our F-Gas Category 1 or 2 course.
